The adventures you will enjoy during your South Padre Island journey will begin upon arrival, and if you find yourself wanting to explore the community before you even unpack, just know that not only is that ok with us, but you also aren’t the first to feel that way! Drop your bags at the door (inside, not out!), slip out of your traveling shoes and into your flip flops, and let’s take the elevator back down to the ground level for a quiet walk around Suntide. We’ll come back to the condo in a minute or two.
Something Unique
You may have noticed something a little unusual about the structure you parked under upon your arrival, but you might have been a little too preoccupied to explore further, until now, that is. The parking structure does a very good job of shading your car, but it serves a double purpose, with its rooftop serving as a tennis court. Spend a couple of hours batting the ball back and forth on the green court, letting the sea breezes help keep you cool and the sounds of waves crashing keeping you from getting too annoyed when you make a bad shot. We’ve seen a lot of sports courts over the years, but none have served as the roof to a parking structure!
