The stay was excellent; it is a condo very close to the beach and to all the great attractions on SPI. My family and I love visiting the Island, and we certainly weren't disappointed. Inside a Continental Condo

Continental #104 is the condo to picture: a two-bedroom, one-bath ground-floor layout that sleeps four, with an open living, dining and kitchen area and walls of windows facing the water. The primary bedroom has a queen bed with direct access to the patio, and the second bedroom has a full-over-full bunk — the layout that works when the trip is two adults and two kids, or four friends splitting the cost.

The kitchen has granite counters and is stocked to cook in, the living area has Smart TVs, and the whole condo was updated with new furnishings and refreshed bathrooms. Tile floors throughout are the right surface for a place where everyone comes back sandy. Step out the patio door and the private beach walkway is right there.

Practical notes worth knowing before you book: parking is across the street, laundry is a coin-operated room in the community rather than a machine in the condo, and Continental does not accept pets. Around Continental

Wanna Wanna Beach Bar is close enough to walk to from Continental, which makes it the default first stop and the default last one. The rest of the island's restaurants and bars run up Padre Boulevard, most of them a short drive.

On the water, fishing runs year-round and watersports, kayaking and dolphin tours all launch from the bay side. With kids in the group, Sea Turtle Inc., the Birding and Nature Center and the waterpark fill the days the beach does not. The beach guide covers which stretches of sand suit what.

Yes. Continental is a beachfront community with its own private beach access, and it is one of the closest buildings to the Gulf on the island.

Two-bedroom, one-bath layouts sleeping four, with a queen bed in the primary bedroom and a full-over-full bunk in the second.

Is beach gear included?

Yes. Every stay includes a VayKLife beach gear credit for chairs, umbrellas, bikes and boogie boards, delivered to the door and collected at the end of the stay.
Where do you park at Continental?

Parking is across the street from the building, with a limit of two vehicles per condo including golf carts, trailers and RVs.
Are pets allowed at Continental?

No. Pets and animals of any kind are not permitted in Continental condos. Some of our other South Padre Island rentals do take dogs.
Is Continental good for families with young kids?

It suits them well. The bunk room sleeps the kids, the pool is a few steps from the door and the beach is a short walk down the community's own path, so nobody is crossing a road carrying a cooler.
