The condo and entire experience was great. Somehow, there was no sand inside anywhere when we arrived, which is incredible because we inevitably got sand everywhere during our stay because the beach was super clean and very quickly accessible. Highly recommend.

What the Inverness Community Gives You

Straight Out to the Sand Direct beach access runs right outside the building, so getting to the water is a walk rather than a drive and a parking hunt.
An Elevated Pool Deck The resort-style pool sits up off the ground with sweeping views of the Gulf, so you are looking at the water while you swim instead of at a fence.
An Adults-Only Hot Tub There are two beachfront hot tubs here, and one of them is adults-only, which is unusual on this stretch of the island.
Balconies Built for Sitting Every condo has a private balcony facing the water, and the higher floors take in the Gulf, the Laguna Madre and the island all at once.

Choosing an Inverness Condo

The condos here differ mostly by floor and by how many people you need to sleep, so start there. Inverness #901 is the one to look at for a bigger group: a corner three-bedroom sleeping eight, with more than 600 square feet of private balcony wrapping the unit and close to 300-degree views taking in the Gulf, the Laguna Madre and the island between them. It is also the best seat in the building for summer and holiday fireworks. Inside there is a king primary with balcony access, a twin guest room, a twin-with-trundle room and a queen sofa sleeper in the living area.

The two-bedrooms suit couples and smaller families. Inverness #1005 is on the tenth floor with a wraparound balcony, a king primary, a queen guest room and a full sofa sleeper, sleeping six. Inverness #705 sleeps seven and has a queen guest room plus a second guest room with two beds, a walk-in shower in one bath and a tub-and-shower combination in the other — worth knowing if you are travelling with small kids who still need a bath.

What's Around Inverness

You are on the beach here, so the shoreline itself is the main event — but the island packs a lot into a narrow strip. Sea Turtle Inc. is the one attraction almost every family here ends up visiting, and the waterparks handle the afternoon when everyone has had enough sun. On the bay side, kayaking the Laguna Madre and wildlife watching are calm-water alternatives to the surf.
