  • Who can I call for questions?

    SPI Rentals customer service is open 7:00am - 11:00pm seven (7) days a week! Guests and owners are welcome to call us during these hours. We are also available for any emergency issues 24/7! Our office number is (956) 572-6656. You can also email us at info@spirentals.com

  • Where is the office located?

    We are local! SPI Rentals is located on South Padre Island, our address is 3901 Padre Blvd. South Padre Island, Tx 78597

  • Can I put a hold on a home until my group is ready to reserve?

    Some rentals may allow a 24 hour courtesy hold in order to secure your reservation. To be fair to all of our guests, we do not allow holds on our homes for more than 24 hours."

  • What is required to reserve a vacation rental property?

    You will be required to pay a deposit, and sign a rental agreement in order to secure your reservation.
    If your reservation date is more than 30 days prior to your arrival, we require 35% of the total on the day you reserve the property. The remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to your arrival date. If your reservation date is within 30 days of your stay we require the balance be paid in full at the time of booking.
    Once your payment is processed we will send a rental agreement for your signature, which you can fill out and submit electronically. At that point your reservation will be complete!

  • What are the check in and check out times?

    Check in is 4:00pm.
    Check out is 10:00am

  • Can I check in early or check out late?

    Unlike hotels, we are unable to offer an early check-in or a late check-out. However, if the home you booked is available 1 day before or 1 day after your existing reservation, we could help you add 24 hours to your stay by booking an extra night. That way you would be able to check-in any time after 4pm on the day prior to your existing arrival date or check-out any time before 10am on the day following your existing departure date.

  • Do you offer travel insurance?

    Yes! A travel & rental protection plan can be added to a reservation upon request for a cost equal to 7.000% of the reservation grand total

  • What if I need to cancel my reservation?

    For the maximum peace of mind and flexibility, we encourage purchasing Trip insurance to help cover your travel costs in the event of an unanticipated change to your travel plans. Please refer to the terms and conditions here.

  • Can I bring a blow-up mattress if we have more guests than beds?

    Sorry, no. We only allow the amount of guests that the properties regular sleeping configuration can accommodate.

  • We have guests that will not be staying the night but will be coming over during the day and for dinner, is that ok?

    We are very sorry, but we cannot allow any more guests in the home than the maximum amount approved in your rental agreement. If you plan to have additional guests, we recommend you choose a larger home that can accommodate more guests and cars.

  • Can I bring my pet?

    Yes, you will be able to bring your dog with you if the home is identified as “pet friendly”. The only pets we allow are dogs. Each home will specify if the home is pet friendly or not, and any other restrictions–such as number of dogs and combined weight of the dogs. We charge a one time, non-refundable pet fee.

  • What are the rules regarding pets?

    We typically allow up to two dogs per pet friendly home. Additionally, pets are not allowed on furniture or in beds, and must stay in common areas of the home. If you leave your dog at the rental property, it needs to be confined to a kennel until someone is home. You must keep your dog on a leash at all times when outside of the home. You are required to pick up all dog droppings in the yard before your departure.

  • Can I have a small wedding or rehearsal dinner at the home I am renting?

    Unfortunately, we are not permitted by the City of South South Padre Island to hold weddings, receptions, or events of any kind at vacation rental homes

  • What if my group has more vehicles than the vacation rental allows?

    The number of cars permitted at a vacation rental is listed in the rental agreement. If your group has more vehicles than the property allows, you may be cited and fined by the city. If you think you will have more cars than allowed, we recommend that you park the additional vehicles in a public parking space.

  • We will be celebrating a birthday, is there a noise restriction?

    Yes. The noise ordinance is applicable at all hours and regardless of the cause. Very simply, do not bother any of your neighbors at any time. After 10:00 PM, noise must not be detectable outside the home. The City of South Padre Island has strict noise ordinances.

  • Is there a fully equipped kitchen in all vacation rentals?

    Yes, all of our properties are equipped with fully stocked kitchens. All kitchens entail a coffee maker, toaster, pots & pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, and cooking utensils.

  • Are linens and towels provided?

    Yes, there are linens and towels provided in each vacation rental. All bedding is provided and towels are supplied. Beach towels are not included so we recommend that you bring your own from home.

  • What is provided in your homes?

    All homes include sheets and towels for each guest, fully stocked kitchens, and basic supplies to get you started including:

    • Shampoo
    • Soap
    • Toilet Paper
    • Paper towels
    • Dish soap
    • Dishwasher soap
    • Kitchen Sponge
    • Laundry detergent
    This is a starter kit of supplies, guests will need to purchase additional supplies throughout their stay when necessary.

  • Are the vacation rental properties cleaned daily during our stay?

    No, the vacation condo is cleaned before your arrival and after your departure. Guests can schedule additional housekeeping during their stay for an extra charge.

  • Are the properties non-smoking?

    Yes, all of our properties are strictly non-smoking.
